Leadership route for process and business analysts
Barco

The challenge

Companies who frequently undertake project-based work will recognise the challenge of exercising influence without formal authority. Barco was able to increase the internal acceptance and communication skills of its process and business analysts through team training.

The approach

Barco and LinkPower have been working together for some time. Following an extensive briefing, LinkPower adjusted an existing training programme to Barco’s specific requirements. For the actual training course, a number of analysts went off-site for two days so that a team-building effect could also be achieved. The programme was centred on three topics: communication skills, dealing with internal clients and effective influence. In doing so, the aim was to create better synchronisation between the internal business processes.

The result

“Our process and business analysts are now much more conscious about how they use their communication skills.” explains Eric Faes. “The process of working together with internal clients has improved significantly. Clear agreements about corporate policy relating to procedures ensure that competences and responsibilities are clearer for all parties.”
