Appreciative Inquiry

'Appreciative Inquiry' is a change method based on using the inherent power of the organisation. ´Appreciative Inquiry´ doesn´t concentrate on the problems which arise, but on the positive experiences which people have.

‘Appreciative Inquiry' is a method that Linkpower coaches and trainers frequently apply.

Stephen Covey

Linkpower coaches are infused with the ideas of Stephen Covey: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and The Eighth Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness..

In the latter book, Covey describes leadership from a holistic perspective: head (choosing the right direction), body (streamlining the organisation), heart (empowering people) and soul (being a role model).

Richard Barrett

Richard Barrett is an internationally-esteemed expert on change processes in individuals and companies. He emphasises values-based leadership and has developed a tool which maps out the values of the organisation and the individuals: the Cultural Value Assessment (CVA).

For more than 10 years Linkpower has worked together with Richard Barrett when conducting cultural measurements in organisations.

Patrick Lencioni
We find Lencioni´s model perfect for gaining insight into how teams function. It describes 5 possible team shortcomings to work on: Lack of trust, fear of conflict, lack of involvement, avoidance of responsibility, lack of attention for results.

For each shortcoming Linkpower coaches and trainers create team insight via appropriate exercises. From these insights come motivation and starting points for constructive and result-oriented collaboration.

NLP

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic-Programming) is a communication model that helps us think, feel and act to make improvements. It helps us to create more successful communication with ourselves and others. "Successful" means: The capacity to achieve what is meaningful for us in our lives. As a result, life generates greater satisfaction, happiness and sense of meaning.

NLP teaches us that successful communication depends above all on HOW (form) you communicate - rather than WHAT (content) you communicate.

Systems thinking

Systems thinking teaches us that you can best explain behaviour or problems from the perspective of a larger whole. In this light, an organisation is seen as a single coherent ensemble in which a variety of sub-systems affect one another.

Systems thinking is one of the sources drawn upon by Linkpower trainers and coaches.

Jim Collins
Almost 10 years ago Jim Collins published the bestseller Good to Great, based on long-term research conducted in hundreds of companies. In so doing, he asked himself the following question: What distinguishes successful companies from their competitors and what can others learn from this? What ensures that a company is not only good, but becomes "great"?

In the meantime, some of the examples appear a little outdated, but the factors for success remain relevant and the Linkpower trainers like to integrate them into their work.

Kotter
John Kotter analysed what can go wrong in change processes and ultimately narrowed things down to 8 critical phases. He described them in an inspiring manner in his book Our Iceberg is Melting.

Linkpower coaches combine the insights of Kotter and other change authors with a unique approach to create alignment to change which pays attention to both conscious and unconscious levels. We have a unique anchoring and securing concept.

Spiral Dynamics
Spiral Dynamics focuses on an important condition for change in people: Change is only possible within certain personal frameworks and a large share of these frameworks are established by people´s values.
Linkpower coaches also look at their missions from this perspective.
